URBANITE participates on the workshop “Participatory data for innovation” on the Data Week 2023.
The IMPETUS has invited several projects working on a variety of topics including sustainability, pollution, health, inclusion and diversity. This work, especially where citizen scientists engage with policy-makers and innovators, raises new requirements for open/shared data availability, and tools to enable citizen scientists to make data available in meaningful ways, and also provides new opportunities to innovate with diverse datasets. We will discuss the benefits participatory data can have for innovation, and the barriers citizen science projects face when making their data available to innovators and policy-makers.
